Iran’s embassy in Yemen will continue its usual operation, Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Monday. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in response to the claims made by some media networks that Iran’s ambassador to Sana’a and members of the embassy there have left Yemen. He ensured that Iran’s ambassador is now in Tehran for a few days in order for a medical check-up. Many foreign embassies in Yemen have closed in recent months against a backdrop of the continued armed conflict in the country.
