Prime Minister Sherif Ismail visited the Russian embassy in Cairo Sunday morning to express his condolences over the death of crashed plane victims. Earlier today, Ismail visited the Zeinhom morgue in Cairo to follow up the arrival of the crashed Russian Airbus A321 victims. The Egyptian forensic authority announced Saturday it has started a DNA identification analysis for more than 100 corpses. A Russian airliner carrying 224 passengers crashed Saturday morning over Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula 23 minutes after losing radar contact. There were no survivors. Ismail is scheduled to meet with the Russian ministerial delegation expected to arrive in Cairo Sunday evening to follow up the situation on the ground and the operations of evacuating the victims. Russian President Vladimir Putin declared Nov. 1 a national day of mourning following the crash, the Kremlin press service announced Saturday.
