The Gambia government has finally formalized the diplomatic ties it reached with Russia, with the opening of a Gambian Embassy in Moscow. “It is a proud moment for the two countries and our two leaders,” said Ms. Mam Bamba Njie Keita, Gambia’s Deputy Secretary General, who headed a delegation to Russia to officially commission the new Gambian mission. Ms. Keita was accompanied by a four member delegation to Moscow to officiate the Embassy. Meanwhile, the Gambian flag is flying on the top of the roof of the Embassy. Russia is yet to open an Embassy in Banjul.
