Newsline: Russian Embassy in Portugal Gets No Notice on Alleged Spy Arrest

The Russian embassy in Portugal has not received any notifications on the arrest of a Russian citizen in Rome on espionage charges from the Italian and Portuguese authorities, an embassy’s press attache said. “The embassy can not give official comments at the moment, as the official Portuguese authorities have not notified us on anything, although they should in such a case,” Evgeniy Skobkarev told RIA Novosti. The press attache added that there had also been no official confirmation by the Portuguese authorities that one of the arrested was a Russian citizen, such information was only reported by media.
