The acting Head of the Interests Section of Egypt in Tehran was called before Iran’s foreign ministry to explain Egyptian officials’ attendance at anti-Iran rally of Paris. Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had summoned the Egyptian caretaker to register its strong objections to the attendance of some Egyptian parliamentarians in the weekend rally of anti-Iran terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO). The senior Iranian diplomat described the measure as an intervention in the internal affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Condemning the Egyptians’ move, Dehghani added that Egyptian officials are expected to undertake wise policies to contribute to peace and serenity in the region. Before calling the Egyptian diplomat, Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday summoned French Ambassador to Tehran, François Sénémaud, after Paris hosted the rally last week.
