The Foreign Secretary has been booed outside the French embassy after giving a speech about Britain’s future relationship with the country. In a speech outside the West London venue Boris Johnson called for a “a political, cultural, psychological, and economic union” with France – despite having just campaigned to leave the EU. Mr Johnson appears to have been poorly received by crowds gathered outside, with only a smattering of applause. A video of the event shows him also being audibly booed and jeered after he concluded his speech.
