Police and other law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) have beefed up security around the Embassy of State of Qatar in the federal capital after the Ambassador of Qatar received possible terror attack threats from unknown quarters. The police also enhanced security on all the police pickets and entry gates of Diplomatic Enclave to avert any untoward incident, sources added. According to sources, the State of Qatar through a letter number CP-1/2016 dated 3/10/2016 has formally informed the high-ups of ministry of foreign affairs in Islamabad that the Qatar Ambassador to Pakistan might be attacked by two potential attackers during the next 24 hours. They said the attackers could be a Pakistani and an Iranian national who might use a white car to launch attack on the ambassador. The sources also claimed that Islamabad police have launched an investigation.
