Nigeria on Thursday summoned Indian High Commissioner over the recent attack on Nigerian students in Greater Noida. Permanent Secretary of Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Olushola Enikanolaiye met Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria Nagabushana Reddy and asked the Indian government to ensure action against those who assaulted four Nigerian nationals on Monday in Greater Noida. According to a report in Nigerian media, Nigeria has asked the Indian Government to ensure the immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the attack. Five people have been arrested so far in connection with attack on Nigerian nationals in Greater Noida following the death of 17-year-old student Manish Khari who died of a suspected drug overdose. Residents claim that Khari procured drugs from the Africans residing in Greater Noida. They have also demanded that the Nigerian students be charged with Khari’s murder.
