Newsline: Controlled explosion near London’s Israeli embassy

A major street near London’s Israeli embassy was evacuated evening as police attended reports of a suspicious vehicle. Officers went to Palace Green just off Kensington High Street and carried out a controlled explosion on a vehicle, near the embassy. A spokeswoman for the Met said: “Officers attended reports of what was initially thought to be a suspicious vehicle. Officers went down there to assess the vehicle but it was deemed non-suspicious.” People in the area, not far from Kensington Palace, tweeted that it was on “lockdown” during the incident. The police cordon has since been lifted.

Newsline: Seven Indian embassy websites hacked

Seven websites belonging to Indian embassies have been hacked, a hacker group claimed. According to New Indian Express, the hacker group, which call itself “Intruder” and “Romantic,” posted messages on the website which read, have posted messages saying, “Embassy of India in Athens, Greece Has Been OWNED, Hey Indian Government, Do not Mess With Us ….. ,” and so on. The hacked websites included embassies of India in Greece, Turkey, Mexico, Romania, Tajikstan, Consulate General in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa. However, at the time being all the websites are up and running, apart from the Indian embassy of Tajikistan. The websites had an image of a person in red and black hooded jacket, with a warning message: “Intruder Here. You got hacked,” reported the New Indian Express.
